Leeds’ Viral Froyo Favourite KefiYo Launches Spooky New Flavour for Halloween

Headingley’s popular frozen yoghurt hotspot is celebrating Halloween with a limited-edition blackcurrant flavour, DJs, giveaways and plenty of spooky surprises.

Leeds foodies are in for a frightfully delicious treat this Halloween, as viral frozen yoghurt favourite KefiYo unveils a brand-new limited-edition flavour alongside a week of spooky celebrations.

The Mediterranean-inspired café, which has become a huge hit since opening in Headingley this summer, is adding a deliciously dark blackcurrant frozen yoghurt to its menu, giving customers a new creation to try just in time for Halloween.

Known for its colourful, fully customisable frozen yoghurt bowls, KefiYo is embracing the darker side of spooky season with the new blackcurrant flavour, which joins its existing range of sweet treats.

Customers can experiment with their own Halloween-inspired combinations thanks to the café’s extensive toppings selection, with unlimited standard toppings included at no extra cost.

And there’s more than just frozen yoghurt on the menu this Halloween.

From Wednesday 28th October, KefiYo’s Ash Road café will be transformed with Halloween decorations, special in-store activities and giveaways, creating a fun destination for anyone looking to celebrate spooky season in Leeds.

The celebrations continue into Halloween weekend, with DJs in-store on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, bringing an extra buzz to the popular Headingley hotspot.

It’s the latest exciting development for a café that has rapidly become one of Leeds’ most talked-about new food destinations.

Since opening its doors this summer, KefiYo has attracted a loyal following with its playful flavours, colourful interiors and build-your-own frozen yoghurt concept.

Its regular menu features everything from fruity favourites such as passion fruit and strawberry to more indulgent options including Biscoff, apple pie and chocolate orange. Natural frozen yoghurt and vegan coconut are also available.

The café has proved particularly popular on social media, where customers regularly share their colourful creations, while its successful launch has also attracted attention from national outlets including BBC News, Business Insider and Yahoo.

Gagan Chera, Co-Founder of KefiYo, said:

“Halloween is the perfect excuse to get creative, and we’re so excited to introduce some amazing new flavours with a spooky twist. We wanted to create something a little different that people can have fun trying, whether they’re coming in with friends or building their ultimate Halloween treat.”

Alongside frozen yoghurt, visitors can also enjoy açaí bowls, smoothies, speciality coffees and matcha.

With its spooky blackcurrant creation, Halloween giveaways and a weekend of DJs, KefiYo is proving that frozen yoghurt isn’t just a summer treat.

KefiYo’s Halloween celebrations begin Wednesday 28th October, with DJs on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October.
